For the premiere of Ashutosh Gowarikar's Jodha Akbar, Hrithik Roshan was in attendance with his pregnant wife Suzanne, and his in-laws. The entire Bachchan family were there as well – Aishwarya, Abhishek, Amitabh, Jaya Bachchan. Also spotted were Aamir Khan, Rekha, Sonali Bendre, Kangana Ranaut, Shabana Azmi and husband Javed Akhtar.Ashutosh Gowarikar and his producer Ronnie Screwala played the perfect hosts. Everyone seems to have been visibly impressed by the movie. Abhishek was very appreciative of his wife's performance. When asked about Ash's chemistry with Hrithik Roshan, he said: "As an on-screen pair, they look wonderful. They were great in Dhoom 2 as well. This movie has brought out their best performances. I really enjoyed the movie.”
Every celebrity present at the premiere raved about director Ashutosh's deft handling of the romance between Emperor Akbar and Princess Jodha. Going by the responses at the premiere, Jodha Akbar seems to have got off to a memorable start.
